Originally we planned to
stay for only a short time
and then look for other
interesting accommodation in
another area..
However we found your
apartments so good and the
position of Kalavasos so
central to the whole island
of Cyprus that there was no
reason to seek anywhere
else.
We were so glad that we
spent the money that we
saved staying at your House
to hire a car and we managed
to see so much more of
Cyprus.
It was twenty years since I
was last in Cyprus and then
only for two separate
week-ends. How much the main
towns had grown.
We were very pleased we
found your Flats on the Web.
We have a horror of massive
package type hotels. This
was a truly memorable
holiday and we thank you for
your all your help in making
our holiday so wonderful.

This was a really good conversion of a
traditional house into spacious apartments.
No skimping on space in the apartments which
were comfortably furnished with good
amenities. Converting a traditional home is
a much better alternative than building yet
another holiday home or resort – which
thankfully Kalavasos seems to be free from.
The village seems to benefit from the
tourists who stay there, without being over
run. Definitely a good way to enjoy a
relaxing holiday without having to go to a
resort!
This would be an ideal solution for three or
four families that go on holidays together.
You can book the entire house for a much
cheaper rate than the individual apartments
and wouldn't it be heaven to put all those
noisy teenagers in one unit together but
still close enough to supervise.. Peace !!!
The kids would really appreciate this small
bit of grown up autonomy as well.
This accommodation is so affordable that it
allows families to benefit the way we did by
spending the savings on car hire that
enabled us to see so much more of Cyprus.
Chris also has many extra tours and trips
that she can arrange for her guests.
One small extra that we found just
delightful was to be able to go to their
orchards and pick our own fruit. Somehow
fruit fresh from the tree tastes so totally
superior to any you get in a supermarket.
For families the beaches are close but you
don't have the worry of close supervision
for young children that you need if you stay
at a beach resort.
We can highly recommend Kontoyiannis House
as a holiday venue for both families and
couples
